This ‘Arndale’ centre was developed in the 1960’s and has been greatly improved by the current owners.  However, the challenge for the future has been to prepare a deliverable masterplan that continues to drive investment value.
The centre is a short distance from the Trafford Centre which dominates the fashion and leisure shopping offer in the area.  To avoid competing for the same customer base it has been vital to differentiate Stretford Mall by create a strong value driven convenience offer. A range of piecemeal projects has been considered and these have been brought together to re-anchor the centre, enhance the retail offer and drive value for shoppers, retailers and investors in the centre
