Emerging Markets
The global financial crisis means that credit available for new developments is in short supply. This is true for emerging market as much as long established markets. China has the scale, scope and opportunity to be perhaps the most significant market in the world. The downturn has meant there has been a flight to quality and the ‘one size fits all’ approach to development is as inappropriate to China as it is anywhere in the mature markets of Europe and North America. We are working to identify potential winners and losers ensuring that tried and tested processes are applied to new developments, using this information to ensure that potential European entrants to the market are fully briefed on the opportunities.
